‍Create a safe space – Avoid judgment, sarcasm, or insensitive comments.
‍Follow the Code of Conduct – Uphold the platform’s standards for behavior and respect for Deaf culture.
‍Stay on-topic – Focus on conversation practice, cultural sharing, and ASL learning—not interpreting or formal academic instruction.
‍Use constructive feedback – Offer encouragement first; correct mistakes gently and positively.
‍Protect privacy – Don’t record or share sessions without explicit consent.

For Learners:

‍Be respectful and attentive – Pay attention to the Guide, ask questions politely, and avoid interruptions.
‍Participate actively – Try signing, even if it’s imperfect. Practice makes learning fun!
‍Be patient with yourself and others – Learning ASL is a journey. Mistakes are part of the process.
‍Respect boundaries – Only share what you are comfortable with; don’t pressure Guides to reveal personal info.
‍Follow the Code of Conduct – Maintain safe, positive interactions at all times.
‍Stay focused – Keep conversations relevant to ASL practice and Deaf culture.
