Privacy Policy
Protecting your privacy is critical to SignWow, LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how SignWow, LLC ("SignWow," "SignWow USA," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, retains, and safeguards personal information in connection with our websites, mobile applications, video and communications platforms, interpreting services, Video Relay Service ("VRS"), Internet Protocol Captioned Telephone Service ("IP CTS"), Internet Protocol Relay Service ("IP Relay"), ASL Go, professional and advocacy services, business services, customer support, marketing activities, and related products, features, programs, and events (collectively, the "Services").
This Policy is intended to give clear notice of our privacy practices. It is not legal advice. By accessing or using the Services, creating an account, registering for regulated relay or captioning services, participating in ASL Go, communicating with us, or otherwise providing personal information to us, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy and our related Terms of Use and service-specific notices.
1. Scope and Services Covered
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information we process for users, website visitors, learners, students, parents or legal guardians, instructors, interpreters, communications assistants, independent contractors, employees and applicants, business customers, organizations purchasing seats or services, and other individuals who interact with SignWow.
- Transparency and choice. We aim to provide clear notices about what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices available to you.
The Services include, without limitation, SignWow websites and apps; on-site, remote, scheduled, and on-demand interpreting; VRS; IP CTS; IP Relay; ASL Go live sessions, recorded or on-demand content, assessments, group sessions, practice rooms, community features, and related learning tools; professional and advocacy services; customer support; account management; SMS and email communications; and other accessibility, language access, and technology services that link to or reference this Policy.
Some Services are subject to Federal Communications Commission ("FCC") rules, Telecommunications Relay Services ("TRS") Fund requirements, Customer Proprietary Network Information ("CPNI") requirements, emergency calling rules, and related registration and eligibility verification requirements. If a service-specific notice or agreement applies, it supplements this Policy. If there is a conflict between this Policy and a signed business agreement, data processing agreement, business associate agreement, or service-specific notice, that agreement or notice will control to the extent of the conflict.
2. Key Privacy Commitments
- Confidentiality of communications. We protect the confidentiality of relayed, interpreted, captioned, and instructional communications. For regulated relay and captioning calls, we do not keep records of conversation content except as necessary to provide the Service, as requested by the user, or as permitted or required by law.
- Purpose limitation and minimization. We collect and retain personal information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.
- Security by design. We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.
- No sale of raw call content or ASL Go recordings. We do not sell or rent personal information, raw call content, raw captions, transcripts, or ASL Go recordings. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising unless we first provide any notices and choices required by applicable law.
- Accessibility and respect. We process disability-related, hearing-loss, speech-disability, language-preference, and accommodation information to provide accessible services and comply with law, not to discriminate.
3. Definitions
Personal information. means information that identifies, relates to, describes, can reasonably be associated with, or could reasonably be linked to a particular individual or household. It includes "personal data" under applicable privacy laws.
Sensitive personal information. may include government identifiers, precise geolocation, account credentials, payment information, disability-related information, hearing-loss or speech-disability information, health-related information, protected classification characteristics, and communication content where applicable.
Customer Proprietary Network Information or CPNI. means information relating to the quantity, technical configuration, type, destination, location, and amount of use of regulated telecommunications or TRS services, and information regarding a customer's use of TRS contained in documentation submitted for TRS Fund compensation, as further defined by applicable FCC rules.
Registered Location. means the physical location associated with a regulated relay or captioning user for purposes of service provisioning and emergency calling, including any address or location information required to route or support 911/E911 calls.
Recordings and transcripts. mean audio, video, screen-share, chat, caption, transcript, lesson, practice, support, or other communication records created through the Services. Different rules apply to ASL Go and other learning sessions than to regulated VRS, IP Relay, and IP CTS calls.
4. Personal Information We Collect
We collect personal information from you, from your organization or parent or legal guardian, from service providers and partners, from public or third-party sources, and automatically when you use the Services. The categories we collect depend on how you interact with us and which Services you use.

For VRS, IP Relay, IP CTS, and related TRS offerings where provided by SignWow, we may collect information required to register users, verify eligibility, support emergency calling, provide and improve the Services, prevent fraud and abuse, comply with FCC rules, and seek compensation from the TRS Fund.
- Call detail and session metadata, such as ten-digit numbers used to place and receive calls, called numbers, connection and disconnection times, call duration, date and time, IP address, device or application identifiers, network information, provider identifiers, communications assistant or interpreter identifiers where applicable, and other information required for TRS Fund billing, audit, fraud prevention, and compliance.

- Captioning and relay processing information, such as audio, video, signing, text, captions, and communications-assistant or automated speech recognition processing data needed to transmit, interpret, caption, or relay a call.
C. ASL Go, education, interpreting, and community Services
We may receive information from organizations that purchase or administer Services for users, parents or guardians, instructors or interpreters, payment processors, identity or eligibility verification providers, communications and hosting vendors, analytics providers, accessibility partners, referral sources, public sources, and other parties acting at your direction or on our behalf.
For ASL Go and related education, community, interpreting, training, assessment, coaching, and support services, we may collect session registration data, attendance data, scheduling data, course progress, skill level, performance metrics, assignments, lesson recordings, chat, reactions, in-session timestamps, instructor notes, learner preferences, support communications, and other data needed to deliver, secure, assess, personalize, and improve those Services.
Unless a service-specific notice says otherwise, SignWow does not record interpreting assignments or regulated relay call content for general retention. ASL Go and other learning, training, support, or quality-assurance sessions may be recorded or transcribed when enabled, required for safety or quality assurance, requested by a customer, or otherwise disclosed at or before the session.
D. Information collected automatically
- Device and technical data, such as browser type, operating system, app version, device type, screen resolution, mobile carrier, language settings, IP address, unique identifiers, crash reports, logs, and diagnostic data.

- Location data, such as coarse location inferred from IP address and, with your consent or as required for emergency services, precise or Registered Location information.
- Cookies, pixels, SDKs, and similar technologies used for authentication, security, preferences, fraud prevention, analytics, performance measurement, and communications effectiveness.
E. Information from contacts, integrations, and others
If you allow a SignWow app to access contacts on your device, we use that access to help you initiate communications and manage your experience. Unless we clearly tell you otherwise or you choose to upload or sync contacts, we do not store your full device contact list on our servers.
5. How We Use Personal Information
We use personal information for the purposes described below and as otherwise disclosed when we collect it:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services, including websites, apps, VRS, IP Relay, IP CTS, interpreting, ASL Go, learning tools, accessibility features, scheduling, captions, relay, support, and community features.
- Register users, verify identity and eligibility, maintain accounts, administer profiles, support number assignment and porting where applicable, and submit or verify information with FCC-designated databases or administrators.
- Route, caption, relay, interpret, transcribe, or facilitate communications, including emergency calls and other communications enabled by the Services.
- Authenticate users, secure accounts, send security codes, prevent unauthorized access, detect and prevent fraud, abuse, misuse, cyberattacks, identity theft, or violations of our terms and policies.
- Provide customer support, respond to inquiries, process requests, troubleshoot issues, notify you of service updates, security alerts, administrative messages, outages, and account-related matters.
- Process payments, administer transactions, invoice customers, maintain accounting records, collect amounts owed, and prevent payment fraud.
- Personalize and improve user experience, accessibility settings, content recommendations, ASL Go learning paths, support resources, and service-related communications.
- Conduct quality assurance, staff training, coaching, compliance monitoring, product analytics, research and development, accessibility testing, curriculum development, and feature improvement.
- Develop, test, and improve AI-powered, automated speech recognition, captioning, accessibility, quality, safety, and product features, subject to applicable law, service-specific notices, confidentiality obligations, and any choices we provide.
- Create aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified data, and use or disclose that data for analytics, reporting, research, product improvement, business planning, and other lawful purposes. We do not attempt to re-identify de-identified data except as permitted by law to test or maintain de-identification safeguards.
- Send marketing and promotional communications as permitted by law, and honor opt-out requests.
- Comply with laws, FCC rules, TRS Fund requirements, subpoenas, court orders, government requests, audits, tax and accounting obligations, and other legal or regulatory obligations.
- Protect the rights, privacy, safety, accessibility, integrity, and property of SignWow, users, customers, interpreters, communications assistants, service providers, and the public.
- Carry out any other purpose with your consent or as directed by you.
6. Relay, Captioning, CPNI, and Emergency Services Privacy
A. Regulated Services and eligibility notices
VRS, IP Relay, IP CTS, and other TRS offerings are intended for eligible users as permitted by FCC rules. For IP CTS, federal law restricts use of captioning with captions turned on to registered users with hearing loss who need captions to use the telephone effectively. IP CTS captions may be generated by a live communications assistant, stenographer, automated speech recognition, or a combination of methods depending on the service. The cost of compensable TRS and IP CTS minutes may be paid from a federally administered fund.
Where SignWow offers regulated Services, we may be required to collect, verify, retain, submit, and disclose registration, eligibility, usage, and call-detail information to the TRS Fund administrator, the FCC, law enforcement, emergency service providers, or other authorized parties as required or permitted by law.
B. CPNI
We collect and maintain CPNI in accordance with applicable FCC rules. CPNI may include information about your use of regulated relay or telecommunications services, including quantity, technical configuration, type, destination, location, and amount of use. Your name, telephone number, and address are generally not CPNI by themselves, but may be protected personal information under this Policy and applicable law.
We do not sell, trade, or share CPNI except as needed to provide the Services, administer accounts, bill and collect charges, maintain and improve related service offerings, support emergency services, prevent fraud, protect users and the TRS Fund, comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or as otherwise authorized by you or permitted by FCC rules. We require appropriate privacy and security commitments from service providers that process CPNI on our behalf.
We may use CPNI to market service offerings within categories of regulated or related Services for which SignWow is your provider, where permitted by law. We will seek any approval required by law before using CPNI to market unrelated services.
C. Call content, captions, transcripts, and confidentiality
For VRS and IP Relay calls, SignWow communications assistants, interpreters, and service personnel are required to maintain the confidentiality of relayed communications and may not intentionally alter, disclose, or keep records of conversation content except as permitted or required by law or as necessary to provide the Service.
For IP CTS, audio and captions may be temporarily processed to generate captions and deliver the Service. In the ordinary course, SignWow does not retain call audio or transcriptions after captions are delivered, except where retention is required or permitted by law, needed for troubleshooting, fraud prevention, safety, compliance, user-requested features, consented storage, or legal hold. If you choose to save transcripts, store captions, or enable related features, the saved content may remain on your device, account, or a SignWow-controlled service depending on the feature and your settings.
For non-regulated interpreting, education, training, ASL Go, business, or support services, recording and retention practices are described in Section 7 and in any applicable service-specific notice or agreement.
D. 911/E911 and Registered Location
For Services that support emergency calling, we may collect, use, verify, and disclose Registered Location, call-back number, account identifiers, user profile information, precise or approximate location, provider information, communications assistant or interpreter identifiers, and related emergency information to route or support 911/E911 calls and to assist public safety officials. You are responsible for keeping your Registered Location and emergency information current. Emergency calling may be limited by power outages, Internet outages, device settings, network conditions, unsupported locations, or other limitations described in our 911/E911 notices or terms.
7. ASL Go, Recordings, Transcripts, and User Content
ASL Go is part of SignWow's overall Services. ASL Go may include live or recorded lessons, one-to-one sessions, group sessions, practice rooms, on-demand content, community features, assessments, support interactions, assignments, feedback, and related tools.
ASL Go sessions and related learning, training, quality-assurance, safety, support, or assessment interactions may be recorded, transcribed, monitored, or reviewed when enabled, requested by a customer, required for safety or quality assurance, necessary to provide a feature, or otherwise disclosed to participants. By joining or continuing a recorded session after notice, you consent to recording to the extent permitted by law. If you do not consent, do not join the recorded session; some Services or features may not be available without recording or transcription.
Recordings and transcripts may be used to operate the Services, deliver instruction, provide feedback, support learners, coach instructors, assess quality, maintain safety, investigate misuse, resolve disputes, improve accessibility, conduct internal research and development, and develop or test features, including AI-powered or automated features, subject to applicable law and any choices we provide.
ASL Go recordings are not posted publicly by SignWow unless you choose to post or share them, a business customer directs us to share them within its environment, or we obtain appropriate consent. Access is limited to authorized personnel, instructors, reviewers, service providers, customers, or participants with a legitimate need and subject to appropriate confidentiality, security, or contractual obligations.
Unless a shorter or longer period is specified by a customer agreement, service-specific notice, legal hold, or applicable law, ASL Go recordings and related transcripts are retained for up to 24 months and then deleted, de-identified, or aggregated. You may request deletion of recordings associated with your account, subject to verification, technical limitations, legal obligations, safety needs, dispute resolution, and backup retention.
8. How We Disclose Personal Information
We disclose personal information only as described in this Policy, as disclosed at collection, as directed by you, or as permitted or required by law. Categories of recipients may include:
- Service providers and processors that support hosting, cloud storage, video processing, captioning, transcription, relay technology, customer support, analytics, payment processing, communications, security, identity verification, eligibility verification, quality assurance, and other business operations.
- Interpreters, communications assistants, instructors, reviewers, support personnel, contractors, and business partners who need information to deliver, support, or administer the Services.
- Business customers and organizations that purchase or administer Services for users, such as employers, schools, agencies, healthcare providers, or other organizations, consistent with the applicable agreement and user notices.
- Other users or call participants when a Service necessarily shares information to enable communication, such as caller ID, name, phone number, profile details, captions, chat, recordings, or content you choose to disclose.
- Payment processors, banks, accounting providers, and fraud-prevention vendors for transaction processing, billing, collections, chargeback management, and audit purposes.
- Professional advisors, such as attorneys, auditors, insurers, bankers, accountants, and consultants, under appropriate confidentiality obligations.
- Government agencies, the FCC, TRS Fund administrators, User Registration Database administrators, law enforcement, courts, public safety officials, emergency service providers, and other authorized parties where required or permitted for registration, eligibility, billing, reimbursement, audit, fraud prevention, emergency response, legal compliance, or safety.
- Corporate transaction parties, such as counterparties and advisors in connection with an actual or proposed merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or transition of service providers, subject to appropriate safeguards.
- Affiliates and subsidiaries for purposes consistent with this Policy.
- Third parties when you consent, direct us, or intentionally use the Services to share information.
We may disclose aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified data for lawful business, research, analytics, reporting, compliance, accessibility, and product-improvement purposes. We maintain safeguards designed to prevent re-identification where required by law.
9. Cookies, Analytics, and Online Tracking
We use cookies, SDKs, pixels, local storage, analytics tools, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, secure the Services, measure performance, understand feature usage, diagnose issues, prevent fraud, improve accessibility, and evaluate communications. You can control cookies through your browser or device settings. Disabling cookies may affect functionality.
Certain information may be exempt from deletion or access, including regulated TRS records, CPNI records, billing records, fraud-prevention records, legal hold materials, security logs, and information we must maintain to comply with law or provide the Services. If deletion of required information prevents us from providing a Service, some features or Services may no longer be available to you.
We do not use cookies or SDKs to sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising unless we first provide any notices and choices required by applicable law. Some browsers offer Do Not Track signals. Because there is no consistent industry standard for Do Not Track, we do not respond to Do Not Track signals. Where required, we honor legally recognized universal opt-out mechanisms, such as Global Privacy Control, for browser-based interactions.
Some information we collect may relate to hearing loss, speech disability, Deaf, hard-of-hearing, DeafBlind, disability, accessibility, accommodations, assistive technology, communication preferences, language preferences, eligibility certifications, or use of regulated relay or captioning services. Depending on applicable law, this information may be considered sensitive personal information, consumer health data, protected classification information, or other specially protected data.
10. Communications, Marketing, and SMS
We collect and use this information to provide accessible Services, verify eligibility, comply with FCC and other legal obligations, tailor communications and instruction, route and support emergency calls, prevent fraud and abuse, provide accommodations, and improve our Services. We do not use disability-related or consumer health data to infer characteristics for unrelated advertising purposes, and we do not sell this information.
We may contact you by email, SMS, phone, videophone, in-app messages, push notifications, postal mail, or other channels to provide service updates, authentication codes, security alerts, account notices, customer support, emergency or compliance notices, billing information, and administrative messages. These transactional or service-related messages may be necessary to provide the Services.
With consent where required, we may send marketing or promotional communications about SignWow products, events, features, training, ASL Go, accessibility services, or partner offerings. You may opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us. For SMS, you may opt out by replying STOP or following the instructions in the applicable SMS notice. Message and data rates may apply. Opting out of marketing does not opt you out of service-related or legally required communications.
11. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain accounts, comply with law, satisfy FCC and TRS Fund obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud and abuse, support safety, maintain business records, complete transactions, and fulfill the purposes described in this Policy.
Retention periods vary by category, purpose, sensitivity, legal requirements, user settings, customer agreements, and technical constraints. For example, account and transaction records may be retained for legal, tax, accounting, audit, fraud-prevention, and compliance purposes; regulated call-detail, registration, eligibility, and CPNI records may be retained as required by FCC rules and TRS Fund requirements; ASL Go recordings are generally retained for up to 24 months unless a different period applies; and de-identified or aggregated data may be retained for longer periods.
When personal information is no longer needed, we will delete, de-identify, aggregate, or otherwise dispose of it in accordance with our retention practices and applicable law. If immediate deletion is not possible, such as because information is stored in backup archives, we will retain it securely and restrict further processing until deletion or isolation is feasible.
12. Security
We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, CPNI, call-detail data, ASL Go recordings, transcripts, support records, and other sensitive information. Safeguards may include encryption in transit, access controls, role-based permissions, authentication, audit logging, vendor risk management, confidentiality obligations, employee and contractor training, secure development practices, monitoring, and incident-response procedures.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for using strong credentials, protecting your account, maintaining the security of your devices, and promptly notifying us of suspected unauthorized access or misuse. If we determine that a security incident requires notice, we will notify affected individuals and authorities in accordance with applicable law.
13. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live and how you interact with us, you may have rights to:
- confirm whether we process your personal information and access personal information we maintain about you;
- receive a copy of certain personal information in a portable format;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- delete personal information, subject to legal, security, compliance, safety, dispute, backup, and service-related exceptions;
- limit the use or disclosure of sensitive personal information where applicable;
- opt out of targeted advertising, sale, sharing, or certain profiling where applicable;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, subject to legal and service limitations;
- appeal a decision denying a privacy request where applicable; and
- exercise rights without unlawful discrimination.
To exercise rights, contact privacy@signwow.com with the subject line "Privacy Request" or use any privacy request mechanism we make available in the Services. We may need to verify your identity and authority before acting on a request. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law, but we may require proof of authorization and may ask you to verify your identity directly. For account holders, in-product settings may allow you to access, correct, download, or delete certain information.
14. Consumer Health Data and Disability-Related Information
If SignWow provides services to a healthcare provider or another regulated entity under a business associate agreement or similar contract, that agreement may impose additional privacy and security obligations. This Policy does not replace any rights or obligations under such an agreement.
15. Children and Minor Users
Our Services are intended for users 14 years of age and older unless a service-specific notice or agreement permits younger users with appropriate parent, legal guardian, school, or organizational consent. ASL Go users under 18 must have the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian unless a school, organization, or applicable law provides another lawful basis. The parent or legal guardian is responsible for the minor's use of the Services, account activity, and payments.
For regulated relay or captioning Services used by a minor, the minor's parent or legal guardian may be required to register the account on the minor's behalf, provide required consents and certifications, supervise use, and provide parent or guardian information required by FCC rules or service-specific terms.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent or another lawful basis. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13 without required consent, we will take appropriate steps to delete the information or obtain consent as required by law. Parents and legal guardians may contact privacy@signwow.com to request review, correction, or deletion of a minor user's information, subject to verification and legal exceptions.
16. Third-Party Services and Integrations
The Services may link to or integrate with third-party websites, platforms, payment processors, identity verification services, analytics tools, video platforms, app stores, social media platforms, captioning or transcription technologies, customer support tools, or other services. We do not control third-party privacy practices. Your use of third-party services is subject to their privacy policies and terms.
Where we use third-party service providers to process personal information on our behalf, we require appropriate contractual restrictions. Where you choose to use a third-party service, authorize an integration, or follow a third-party link, that third party may process your information independently.
17. International Transfers
SignWow is based in the United States and the Services are operated from the United States unless otherwise stated. If you access the Services from outside the United States or if we transfer information to other countries, your information may be processed in jurisdictions that may have different privacy laws than your jurisdiction. We take steps designed to protect personal information consistent with this Policy and applicable law.
18. Automated Decision-Making and AI Features
We may use automation, analytics, automated speech recognition, captioning tools, machine learning, or AI-powered features to provide, secure, personalize, caption, transcribe, interpret, analyze, or improve the Services. We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you unless we provide any required notice, obtain any required consent, and provide any required rights or appeals.
We will not use the content of regulated VRS, IP Relay, or IP CTS calls to train general AI models except as permitted by law, consistent with FCC confidentiality obligations, or with appropriate consent and safeguards. ASL Go and other non-regulated recordings, transcripts, or user content may be used for product improvement, quality assurance, accessibility research, and AI-feature development as described in this Policy, subject to applicable law and available choices.
19. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice as required by law, which may include updating the effective date, posting the revised Policy, sending an email or in-app notice, or using another reasonable method. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of a revised Policy means the revised Policy applies to your interactions with SignWow and the Services from that date forward.

SignWow does not warrant that the Website will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, free of viruses or harmful components, compatible with your device, or that defects will be corrected.
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SIGNWOW, LLC AND ITS AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, SERVICE PROVIDERS, CONTRACTORS, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR RELIANCE DAMAGES; LOST PROFITS; LOST REVENUE; LOST DATA; BUSINESS INTERRUPTION; COMPUTER DAMAGE; SERVICE INTERRUPTION; OR DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE WEBSITE OR CONTENT.
These limitations apply regardless of legal theory, whether based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, statute, misrepresentation, or otherwise, even if SignWow has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some limitations may not apply to you.
14. Indemnification

SignWow may modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue the Website or any Content at any time without notice, subject to applicable law.
16. Governing Law and Contact
These Website Terms are governed by the law specified in SignWow Terms of Use, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If the Terms of Use include arbitration, venue, class-waiver, or dispute-resolution provisions, those provisions apply to these Website Terms unless prohibited by law.
Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (the "Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you and SignWow, LLC ("SignWow," "we," "us," or "our") and govern your access to and use of SignWow websites, applications, products, programs, platforms, communications tools, interpreting, educational, advocacy, relay, captioning, and related services that link to or reference these Terms (collectively, the "Services").
Please read these Terms carefully. By accessing or using the Services, creating an account, clicking an acceptance button, downloading or using an application, attending a session, placing or receiving a call through a SignWow-supported service, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not access or use the Services.
Important notice regarding disputes: Section 22 contains a binding arbitration agreement, jury trial waiver, and class action waiver. Subject to applicable law and the exceptions stated in these Terms, disputes must be resolved on an individual basis and not as a class, collective, consolidated, private attorney general, or representative action.
1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms apply to all users of the Services, including website visitors, registered users, students, parents or guardians, Deaf Guides, interpreters, advocates, contractors, customers, enterprise users, agencies, employers, schools, service providers, and any person or entity that accesses or uses the Services.
If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms. The organization is responsible for your use and for the use of all accounts, users, personnel, contractors, and invitees that access the Services through that organization.
Certain Services may be subject to additional written terms, order forms, statements of work, enterprise agreements, service descriptions, program rules, app-store terms, FCC/TRS notices, 911/E911 disclosures, privacy notices, consent forms, codes of conduct, or other supplemental terms (collectively, "Supplemental Terms"). If Supplemental Terms conflict with these Terms, the Supplemental Terms control only for the specific Service covered by those Supplemental Terms, unless they state otherwise.
2. Supplemental Terms and Privacy Policy
Your use of the Services is also subject to the SignWow Privacy Policy, which explains how SignWow collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
When legally required, SignWow may present separate consents for recordings, ASL Go sessions, minor accounts, relay/captioning services, FCC/TRS eligibility, SMS/text messaging, emergency calling, AI or automated features, or other specialized Services. You must comply with all applicable Supplemental Terms and consents.
If you do not agree to an updated or supplemental term, you must stop using the affected Service. Continued use after notice or posting of updated terms constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
3. Who We Are and What Services Are Covered
SignWow, LLC provides communication-access, inclusion, education, advocacy, technology, and related services for Deaf, DeafBlind, Hard of Hearing, Deaf+, signing, and allied communities, as well as families, schools, employers, public entities, agencies, interpreting providers, and other partners.

- technology platforms, applications, websites, software, communication tools, portals, and hosted or licensed solutions;

- customer support, account-management, billing, messaging, SMS/text, email, notification, and administrative services;

SignWow may add, change, limit, suspend, or discontinue Services or features at any time, subject to applicable law and any binding separate agreement.
4. Eligibility, Accounts, and Minors
4.1 General eligibility
You must be able to form a binding contract with SignWow and must not be barred from using the Services under applicable law. Unless a specific Service states otherwise, you must be at least 14 years old to register for or use the Services. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must provide any required consent, supervise your use, and accept responsibility for your compliance with these Terms and any payment obligations.
For ASL Go and other minor-facing Services, SignWow may require a parent or guardian to complete a consent form, verify identity, and maintain ongoing supervision. If a minor user is under 13, SignWow will collect, use, and disclose personal information only as permitted by applicable child-privacy laws and the SignWow Privacy Policy.
4.2 Account registration
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete account and registration information, including information requested for Service eligibility, billing, parental consent, accessibility needs, support, FCC/TRS registration, emergency calling, or regulatory compliance. You must promptly update your account information when it changes.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity occurring through your account. You must notify SignWow promptly if you suspect unauthorized access, account compromise, or misuse.
Unless SignWow authorizes otherwise in writing, you may not create an account using a false identity, create an account for another person, register more than one account for the same individual, share credentials, or use another person's account. SignWow may reject, suspend, terminate, reclaim, or require changes to usernames or accounts where appropriate, including where information is inaccurate, rights are infringed, security is at risk, a user has been removed, or law or policy requires action.
4.3 Accounts registered for minors
When a parent or legal guardian registers an account for a minor, the parent or guardian represents that the minor is the intended user, that the parent or guardian has legal authority to consent for the minor, and that all information supplied for the minor is accurate. The parent or guardian is responsible for supervising the minor's use, paying applicable fees, and ensuring compliance with these Terms.
If the account relates to Relay Services, the minor remains the user for purposes of any applicable FCC/TRS rules. The parent or guardian provides consent, certification, and supervision on the minor user's behalf and may not use Relay Services for the parent's own communications unless the parent independently qualifies and separately registers as required.
5. Limited License to Use the Services
Subject to your compliance with these Terms and any Supplemental Terms, SignWow grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to access and use the Services solely for your personal, educational, accessibility, communication, internal business, or other authorized purpose. No rights are granted except those expressly stated in these Terms or a written agreement signed by SignWow.
You may not copy, modify, translate, adapt, merge, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, distribute, host, frame, scrape, crawl, mine, publicly display, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, attempt to derive source code from, or create derivative works from the Services, software, platform, content, or materials, except to the extent the restriction is prohibited by law or SignWow expressly authorizes it in writing.
You may not access the Services to build, train, benchmark, or support a competing product or service; remove or obscure proprietary notices; use automated means to extract data; interfere with service integrity; or use hidden text, metatags, confusing domains, logos, marks, or source identifiers that imply sponsorship or endorsement by SignWow.
6. Relay, Captioned Telephone, and TRS Services
6.1 Applicability
This Section 6 applies only to any Relay Services that SignWow makes available directly or through authorized partners, including VRS, IP CTS, IP Relay, related captioned calling, Internet-based TRS features, ten-digit numbering, registered-location support, call routing, captioning, communications assistant, interpreter, or emergency calling functions. If SignWow is not the certified provider for a particular Relay Service, the certified provider's terms, privacy policy, FCC notices, 911/E911 disclosures, and eligibility rules may also apply and may control where required by law.
6.2 Eligibility and certification
Relay Services funded through the federal Telecommunications Relay Service (TRS) Fund are available only to users who satisfy applicable FCC eligibility rules. If you register for or use VRS, IP CTS, IP Relay, or another Relay Service, you represent and certify that you have the hearing, speech, or other qualifying disability or communication need required by FCC rules for that Service, that the Service is necessary for your communication, and that you will not permit ineligible persons to use the Service through your account.
Federal law restricts use of IP CTS and other relay/captioning services to eligible registered users. For IP CTS, captions may be generated by a live communications assistant, automated speech recognition, or another permitted captioning method, and the cost of each minute of federally funded captions may be paid from a federally administered fund. If you use captions or Relay Services when you are not eligible, use them for impermissible purposes, or allow others to do so, you may be responsible for damages, fees, penalties, reimbursements, and account termination.
You agree to provide any certifications, attestations, supporting information, or updates required by the FCC, the TRS User Registration Database, SignWow, or an applicable certified provider. Failure to provide required consent or information may require denial, suspension, or termination of the affected Service.
6.3 TRS User Registration Database and required disclosures
Where required by FCC rules, you consent to SignWow or its authorized provider collecting, verifying, retaining, and transmitting required information to the TRS User Registration Database or other required systems. Required information may include full name, residential address, telephone number, email address or login identifier, device or equipment identifiers, date of birth, last four digits of Social Security number or approved alternative identifier, registered location, provider selection, date of service initiation or termination, eligibility certification, parent or guardian information for minors, and other information required by law.
You authorize SignWow and its authorized providers to disclose information as necessary to verify eligibility, administer Relay Services, process service reimbursements, support numbering and porting, provide emergency calling, comply with legal obligations, respond to subpoenas or lawful requests, prevent fraud, investigate misuse, and protect the security and integrity of the Services.
6.4 Permitted and prohibited Relay Service uses
Relay Services must be used only for lawful communications permitted by applicable FCC rules and these Terms. You may not use Relay Services for fraudulent, abusive, harassing, threatening, commercial-spam, prank, unlawful, or secretly recording purposes; to generate transcripts or captions for impermissible uses; as a substitute for CART, court-certified interpreting, medical interpreting, or other specialized services unless expressly authorized; or in any way that misuses federally funded relay services.
You must comply with all statutory and regulatory requirements governing Relay Services. Where required by law or reasonable circumstances, you are responsible for notifying other call participants that a call is being captioned, relayed, recorded, transcribed, or otherwise processed.
6.5 Numbers, porting, default providers, and registered location
If a Relay Service includes a ten-digit number, numbering, porting, default-provider selection, or registered-location functionality, you must comply with applicable FCC and provider rules. You may be assigned a local ten-digit number based on your geographic area or may be able to port an eligible number to or from another provider. Toll-free numbers may be subject to additional rules and third-party requirements.
You must provide and keep current your physical registered location and other location information required for emergency call routing. A failure to provide or update your registered location may result in incorrect routing of 911 calls or delays in emergency response. See Annex 1 for emergency calling limitations.
7. ASL Go, Education, Advocacy, and Professional Support Boundaries
7.1 ASL Go
ASL Go is an on-demand American Sign Language (ASL) immersive, social, cultural, practice, and conversational service designed to increase ASL access and awareness, support ASL learning and community connection, address gaps in interpreter education, support early intervention for deaf children and families, and promote opportunities for Deaf people. ASL Go is not an interpreting service.
ASL Go sessions are for ASL practice, skill-building, mentorship, immersion, and community connection only. They are not licensed interpreting, legal services, medical care, mental health treatment, financial advice, emergency response, case management, or other professional services. ASL Go facilitators, Deaf Guides, and contractors must not present ASL Go sessions as interpreting or professional advice and must redirect such requests consistent with SignWow policies.
7.2 Professional & Advocacy services
P&A Services are intended to provide advocacy, navigation, informational, empowerment, and self-sufficiency support. Examples may include helping users understand letters, forms, benefits, employment or workplace options, communication choices, accessibility resources, or daily-life navigation. P&A Services do not create an attorney-client, doctor-patient, therapist-client, fiduciary, or other professional-client relationship.
SignWow does not provide legal services, medical care, diagnosis, treatment, mental health therapy, financial advice, or other regulated professional services through P&A Services unless a separate written agreement expressly states otherwise and all applicable licensing requirements are satisfied. You are responsible for obtaining advice directly from licensed professionals when needed.
7.3 Session recordings and consent
Interactive audio/video Services, including ASL Go lessons, 1:1 sessions, group classes, workshops, assessments, support interactions, and certain training or quality sessions, may be recorded, transcribed, captioned, logged, or otherwise processed. Recordings and related data may include audio, video, transcripts, captions, chat, support notes, usage records, metadata, and quality-assurance data.
By using interactive features where recording or processing is disclosed, you acknowledge and consent to recording and processing as described in these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any in-session notice or consent prompt. If you do not consent to required recording or processing, do not use the affected interactive feature. You may not disable, bypass, interfere with, or obscure recording notices, consent prompts, or safety features.
8. User Content, Communications, and Session Data
8.1 User Content
You retain ownership of content you submit, upload, transmit, display, provide, or make available through the Services, including communications, text, video, audio, images, documents, messages, chats, contact information, session materials, feedback, requests, and other data ("User Content"). You are responsible for your User Content and for obtaining all rights, consents, permissions, and notices needed to provide it to SignWow and use it in connection with the Services.
You grant SignWow a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, transmit, display, adapt, format, transcribe, caption, translate, analyze, process, and use User Content solely to operate, provide, maintain, secure, support, improve, evaluate, and develop the Services; provide customer support; conduct quality assurance; comply with law; enforce these Terms; and as otherwise described in the Privacy Policy or an applicable Supplemental Term.
SignWow may de-identify, aggregate, or anonymize User Content and related data and use such information for analytics, research, safety, product improvement, service development, reporting, and other lawful business purposes. SignWow will not sell or rent raw video recordings or personal information as described in the Privacy Policy.
8.2 Call and session confidentiality
SignWow treats call content, session content, interpreted communications, captioned communications, and user-identifiable information as confidential except as needed to provide the Services, with your direction or consent, to protect users and the platform, to respond to support requests, to comply with law or FCC/TRS rules, to enforce these Terms, or as otherwise permitted by the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Relay calls and Internet-based communication services may involve transmission over public Internet, third-party networks, devices, video platforms, telecommunications providers, captioning vendors, interpreters, communications assistants, automated systems, or emergency providers. SignWow uses reasonable safeguards but cannot guarantee that every transmission will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
8.3 Use of images, voice, likeness, and interpreter content
Some Services require your image, voice, likeness, signs, captions, communications, or device/audio/video data to be transmitted over the Internet to provide interpreting, relay, captioning, ASL education, P&A support, or other communication services. You authorize SignWow and its service providers to transmit and process such information as necessary to provide the Services.
You may not record, photograph, forward, upload, post, publish, store, commercialize, train systems on, or otherwise use the image, voice, likeness, signs, captions, transcripts, or communications of any interpreter, communications assistant, Deaf Guide, contractor, staff member, user, or participant except as expressly authorized by SignWow in writing, required for lawful use of the Service, or permitted by law.
9. Acceptable Use and Community Standards
You agree to use the Services only for lawful, authorized, and appropriate purposes. You must not:
- violate any applicable law, regulation, court order, FCC/TRS rule, privacy right, publicity right, intellectual property right, contract right, or other right;
- harass, threaten, abuse, bully, intimidate, stalk, exploit, defame, impersonate, or harm any person, including minors or vulnerable individuals;
- use the Services for fraud, spam, scams, deceptive practices, unauthorized advertising, commercial solicitation, or illegal activity;
- interfere with, disrupt, overload, damage, disable, attack, reverse engineer, test vulnerability of, or bypass security or access controls for the Services;
- introduce malware, viruses, harmful code, denial-of-service traffic, scraping tools, bots, crawlers, or automated systems without authorization;
- access or attempt to access non-public areas, accounts, systems, data, or networks without permission;
- misrepresent your identity, eligibility, disability status, registered location, account information, organizational authority, certifications, or credentials;
- use Relay Services for ineligible users, impermissible calls, unauthorized transcripts, or any purpose prohibited by FCC rules;
- use ASL Go, P&A Services, or communication-support services as a substitute for emergency services, medical care, legal advice, mental health treatment, or other professional services;
- record, share, or misuse interpreter, contractor, staff, user, or participant images, voices, likenesses, communications, captions, transcripts, or session content without authorization;
- violate session etiquette, community guidelines, codes of conduct, or instructions given to protect safety, accessibility, or service quality.
SignWow may investigate suspected misuse, cooperate with law enforcement or regulators, remove content, restrict features, suspend or terminate accounts, decline service, reclaim usernames, disable recordings or uploads, or take other action SignWow considers appropriate, subject to applicable law.
10. Interpreters, Contractors, Service Providers, and Human Judgment
The Services may involve employees, independent contractors, interpreters, Deaf Guides, advocates, trainers, communications assistants, captioners, support personnel, third-party providers, vendors, and technology systems. Unless SignWow states otherwise in writing, independent contractors are not employees, partners, agents, or legal representatives of SignWow and may not bind SignWow or make promises on SignWow's behalf.
SignWow may request or verify credentials, certifications, background information, insurance, qualifications, or compliance documentation from contractors and service providers, but SignWow does not guarantee that any particular contractor will hold a specific license, credential, specialty, or subject-matter expertise unless expressly stated in writing.
Communication access involves human judgment, context, environmental conditions, technology, network performance, user behavior, and other factors outside SignWow's control. SignWow does not guarantee that any interpretation, relay, captioning, translation, advocacy support, training, session, transcript, AI output, or communication support will be perfect, complete, timely, uninterrupted, or suitable for every specialized situation.
For legal, medical, mental health, financial, government, classroom, court, emergency, safety-sensitive, highly technical, or other high-stakes situations, you are responsible for determining whether the Service is appropriate and whether separate certified, licensed, specialized, or in-person services are required.
11. Fees, Subscriptions, Cancellations, and Taxes
Pricing, plan descriptions, usage limits, billing terms, cancellation rules, refund terms, taxes, and fees will be presented at or before purchase, enrollment, booking, or in a separate agreement. By placing an order, enrolling, booking, subscribing, or using a paid Service, you authorize SignWow and its payment processors to charge your selected payment method for applicable fees, taxes, and charges.
Unless a Service or plan states otherwise, recurring Services and subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current rate until canceled in accordance with the applicable plan terms. You authorize recurring charges without separate consent for each renewal and agree to keep billing information current.
SignWow may correct pricing or billing errors, change pricing on notice, suspend or terminate access for nonpayment, require payment updates, charge late fees where permitted, and use collections processes where lawful. You are responsible for all taxes, carrier charges, Internet charges, device charges, data charges, app-store charges, and other third-party fees associated with your use of the Services.
Some Services, sessions, bookings, or enterprise contracts may include cancellation, rescheduling, minimum-notice, no-show, or minimum-use requirements. Unless a specific written Service term or applicable law provides otherwise, fees are non-refundable and all sales are final. SignWow may issue credits or exceptions in its discretion.
12. Equipment, Connectivity, Availability, and Support
You are responsible for obtaining and maintaining all devices, software, hardware, Internet access, broadband access, mobile service, electricity, accessibility equipment, browsers, app-store accounts, telephone service, permissions, and other systems needed to use the Services. The Services may be affected by device issues, software settings, network congestion, Internet outages, power outages, carrier issues, firewall restrictions, third-party platform failures, user error, or maintenance.
SignWow may provide support, updates, patches, fixes, maintenance, or new versions, but is not obligated to provide any specific support level unless required by a separate written agreement. Features may be unavailable, delayed, degraded, or discontinued. Beta, trial, pilot, AI, experimental, or preview features are provided as is and may be changed or discontinued at any time.
13. Third-Party Services, App Stores, and Integrations
The Services may rely on, link to, integrate with, or be distributed through third-party websites, app stores, payment processors, telecommunications providers, video platforms, learning management systems, cloud vendors, SMS providers, analytics tools, accessibility platforms, agency systems, enterprise systems, or emergency-service providers. Those third parties may have their own terms and privacy policies, and SignWow does not control them.
Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to third-party terms. SignWow is not responsible for third-party products, content, outages, failures, fees, claims, privacy practices, support, or disputes. When you leave a SignWow Service or use a third-party feature, the SignWow Terms and Privacy Policy may no longer govern that third-party environment.
If you obtain a SignWow application through an app store, the app store and its affiliates may be third-party beneficiaries of applicable app-license provisions and may enforce those provisions to the extent required by app-store terms. You must comply with all applicable app-store rules.
14. Privacy
Your use of the Services is subject to the SignWow Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy describes SignWow's practices regarding personal information, recordings, user content, call/session data, SMS and communication preferences, cookies and similar technologies, consumer health/disability-related data, FCC/TRS information, registered-location information, emergency-call information, and your privacy choices.
SignWow does not sell or rent raw video recordings or personal information as described in the Privacy Policy. Where a Service requires heightened confidentiality, SignWow will handle information consistent with applicable law, FCC/TRS obligations, contractual requirements, and the Privacy Policy.
15. Intellectual Property, Feedback, and Beta Features
The Services, including software, applications, websites, platforms, content, designs, videos, graphics, text, trademarks, logos, service marks, trade names, documentation, training materials, databases, user interfaces, workflows, and technology, are owned by SignWow or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property and other laws. Except for the limited license granted to you, SignWow and its licensors reserve all rights.
If you provide suggestions, ideas, feedback, bug reports, feature requests, evaluations, survey responses, or other comments, you grant SignWow a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, copy, modify, disclose, distribute, commercialize, and otherwise exploit the feedback for any purpose without compensation or obligation to you.
Beta, pilot, preview, trial, experimental, and AI features may be incomplete, inaccurate, unstable, or changed at any time. You should not rely on beta or experimental features for high-stakes, emergency, regulated, or safety-critical uses.
16. AI and Automated Features
SignWow may offer or evaluate artificial intelligence, machine learning, automated captioning, automated transcription, automated translation, analytics, recommendation, safety, support, quality-assurance, or similar features (collectively, "AI Features"). AI Features may process input you provide and generate output, including captions, transcripts, translations, summaries, classifications, recommendations, or other content.
You are responsible for your input and for evaluating output before relying on it. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, delayed, outdated, or unsuitable for your intended purpose. AI Features do not provide legal, medical, mental health, emergency, financial, or other professional advice.
SignWow may use data to provide, secure, evaluate, improve, and develop AI Features as described in the Privacy Policy and any Supplemental Terms. Where applicable law or FCC/TRS rules prohibit retention or use of certain call content, SignWow will not use or retain such content except as permitted or required by law.
17. Copyright and Other Complaints
If you believe content available through the Services infringes your copyright, please send a notice compliant with 17 U.S.C. Section 512 to SignWow's designated contact at legal@signwow.com or privacy@signwow.com, or to another address posted by SignWow. Include sufficient information to identify the copyrighted work, the allegedly infringing material, your contact information, a statement of good-faith belief, a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act, and your physical or electronic signature.
SignWow may remove content, disable access, notify users, and terminate repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. Other legal, safety, abuse, accessibility, or privacy complaints may be sent to legal@signwow.com unless SignWow provides a more specific contact.
18. Disclaimers

SIGNWOW AND ITS AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, CONTRACTORS, PROVIDERS, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND REPRESENTATIVES DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, QUIET ENJOYMENT, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, PERFORMANCE, AND SECURITY.

No oral or written information or advice provided by SignWow, its personnel, contractors, providers, or the Services creates any warranty not expressly stated in these Terms.
19. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SIGNWOW AND ITS AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, CONTRACTORS, PROVIDERS, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND REPRESENTATIVES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, RELIANCE, OR ENHANCED DAMAGES; LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, BUSINESS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR USE; BUSINESS INTERRUPTION; SUBSTITUTE SERVICES; OR OTHER DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SIGNWOW'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO SIGNWOW FOR THE SPECIFIC SERVICE GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY, OR (B) $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations. In those jurisdictions, liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or other liability that applicable law does not permit to be excluded.
Emergency calling limitations and liability terms are addressed further in Annex 1.
20. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SignWow and its affiliates, licensors, contractors, providers, officers, directors, employees, agents, and representatives from and against any claims, demands, actions, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to:
- your access to or use of the Services;
- your User Content or information you provide;
- your violation of these Terms, Supplemental Terms, policies, or applicable law;
- your violation of any third-party rights;
- your misuse of Relay Services, emergency calling, ASL Go, P&A Services, recordings, AI Features, or third-party services;
- your failure to obtain required consents, permissions, notices, or authorizations;
- activities under your account, whether authorized or unauthorized, except to the extent caused by SignWow's breach of these Terms.
SignWow may assume exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification, and you agree to cooperate with SignWow. You may not settle any claim without SignWow's prior written consent if the settlement imposes obligations on SignWow or admits fault by SignWow.
21. Suspension and Termination
These Terms begin when you first access or use the Services and continue while you use the Services, maintain an account, or remain subject to any obligation under these Terms. You may stop using the Services at any time and may close your account where account closure is supported, subject to payment obligations, retention requirements, and any separate agreement.
SignWow may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Services, remove content, disable features, reject registrations, discontinue accounts, or refuse service if SignWow believes that:
- you violated these Terms, Supplemental Terms, law, FCC/TRS rules, or SignWow policies;
- your information is inaccurate, incomplete, fraudulent, outdated, or unverifiable;
- your use creates safety, security, legal, regulatory, operational, payment, fraud, abuse, or reputational risk;
- your account is inactive, compromised, or misused;
- SignWow is required to do so by law, regulator, court order, certified provider, or service partner;
- a Service becomes unavailable, unlawful, impractical, or discontinued.
Upon termination, your right to use the affected Services ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive will survive, including ownership, licenses needed to operate or enforce the Services, payment obligations, confidentiality, privacy, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, dispute resolution, and miscellaneous terms.
22. Governing Law, Arbitration, Jury Trial Waiver, and Class Action Waiver
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except that the Federal Arbitration Act governs the interpretation and enforcement of the arbitration agreement below.
Subject to applicable law and the exceptions below, you and SignWow agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Services, your relationship with SignWow, or any communications between you and SignWow will be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis, rather than in court. Arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association under its applicable Consumer Arbitration Rules or Commercial Arbitration Rules, as applicable, unless another forum or rule set is required by law or agreed in writing.
Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court if the claim qualifies. Either party may seek temporary or preliminary injunctive relief or other equitable relief in court to protect intellectual property, confidential information, security, privacy, or unauthorized use of the Services.
YOU AND SIGNWOW WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL. YOU AND SIGNWOW AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF, CLASS MEMBER, PRIVATE ATTORNEY GENERAL, OR REPRESENTATIVE IN ANY CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION OR ARBITRATION, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
If a court or arbitrator determines that the class action waiver or individual arbitration requirement is unenforceable for a particular claim or request for relief, that claim or request for relief must be severed and resolved in court, and the remaining claims must be arbitrated to the maximum extent permitted by law.
23. Changes to Services and Terms
SignWow may modify these Terms, Supplemental Terms, the Services, features, pricing, policies, or disclosures from time to time. When changes are made, SignWow may post updated terms, update the "Last updated" date, provide notice through the Services, send email or SMS notice where appropriate, require renewed consent, or use another method reasonably likely to reach you.
Unless a different effective date is stated, changes become effective when posted or otherwise made available. Material changes may be subject to additional notice or consent where required by law. If you do not agree to changes, you must stop using the affected Services. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
24. Export, Sanctions, and Government Use
You may not use, export, re-export, download, transfer, or otherwise access the Services in violation of U.S. export-control, sanctions, anti-boycott, or other applicable laws. You represent that you are not located in a prohibited jurisdiction, are not on a restricted-party list, and will not use the Services for prohibited purposes, including development or production of weapons or other unlawful activities.
The Services and related software and documentation are commercial items provided to U.S. government end users only with the rights granted to other users under these Terms or an applicable written agreement, consistent with applicable federal acquisition rules.
25. Miscellaneous
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and applicable Supplemental Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and SignWow regarding the Services and supersede prior or contemporaneous agreements on that subject, except for separate written agreements signed by SignWow that expressly control.
If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted, and the remaining provisions will remain in effect. SignWow's failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without SignWow's consent. SignWow may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, corporate transaction, reorganization, sale of assets, or by operation of law.
Headings are for convenience only. The words "including" and "such as" mean "including without limitation." Notices may be provided by posting, email, SMS, in-app message, postal mail, or other reasonable means. No agency, partnership, employment, joint venture, fiduciary, or professional-client relationship is created by these Terms.

Annex 1 - Emergency Calling / 911 / E911 Notice
This Annex applies to any SignWow Service that supports emergency calling, including where SignWow directly or through an authorized partner provides VRS, IP CTS, IP Relay, or another Internet-based TRS calling service with 911 or E911 functionality. This Annex does not make ASL Go, P&A Services, training, education, support chat, or general interpreting services an emergency service.
If you are experiencing an emergency, use the most reliable emergency calling method available to you. When possible, dial 911 directly from a traditional landline, native mobile phone dialer, TTY, or other available emergency-capable service. Internet-based relay and captioning services may not function the same as traditional 911 or E911 services.
A. Registered Location
For Relay Services with 911/E911 capabilities, you must provide and keep current your accurate physical Registered Location. Your Registered Location is used to route emergency calls and may be transmitted to emergency responders. If you use the Service from a location different from your Registered Location, fail to update your address, provide an invalid address, or use a number that does not match your actual location, your 911 call may be delayed, misrouted, routed to a national or default emergency call center, or unable to reach the correct Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP).
B. Internet-based 911 limitations
Emergency calling through Internet-based TRS, VRS, IP CTS, IP Relay, captioning, app-based, or VoIP-like services may be unavailable, delayed, or limited if:
- your Internet connection, broadband service, mobile data, Wi-Fi, router, device, app, operating system, or electricity fails or is degraded;
- your account, service, number, provider relationship, or broadband service is suspended, terminated, restricted, or unavailable;
- you do not update your Registered Location or cannot confirm your location during the call;
- network congestion, system maintenance, outages, emergency-provider systems, or third-party providers affect routing or connection;
- technical errors, transmission errors, captioning/interpreting delays, human error, misinterpretation, mistakes, or device malfunctions occur;
- you are traveling, using the Service outside the United States or U.S. territories, or using a device or number in a way not supported by emergency-routing systems;
- the emergency center cannot identify, locate, transfer, or communicate with you, or you cannot provide your location or emergency details.
C. Release of emergency information
You authorize SignWow, its authorized providers, underlying carriers, relay providers, communications assistants, interpreters, call centers, emergency service providers, public safety answering points, law enforcement, fire, emergency medical services, hospitals, trauma centers, and other emergency personnel to receive and use information related to your 911 call, including your name, telephone number, Registered Location, device or account information, call content, location information, and other information needed to route, handle, respond to, investigate, or document the emergency call.
D. No reliance on non-emergency Services
ASL Go, P&A Services, training, classes, workshops, support channels, email, SMS, customer service, and general interpreting or communication-access services are not emergency services and must not be used as a substitute for calling 911 or contacting emergency responders directly.
E. Emergency-call liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SignWow and its affiliates, providers, contractors, underlying carriers, officers, directors, employees, agents, and representatives will not be liable for any injury, death, property damage, loss, delay, misrouting, inability to complete a 911 call, inability to reach the correct emergency center, release of emergency-call information, or other claim arising from or related to use of, attempted use of, or inability to use any Service for emergency calling, except to the extent liability cannot be limited by law.
By using a Service with emergency-calling functionality, you acknowledge that you have received, read, and understand this Annex and the emergency calling limitations described in it.
Annex 2 - Service-Specific Supplemental Terms
A. Video Relay Service (VRS)
VRS, if offered or supported by SignWow, enables eligible users with hearing or speech disabilities to communicate with voice telephone users through video and a qualified interpreter or communications assistant. VRS may be funded through the federal TRS Fund and is subject to FCC rules, eligibility requirements, registration, ten-digit numbering, default-provider rules, and emergency-calling requirements.
- You may use VRS only if you satisfy applicable FCC eligibility rules and need VRS to communicate.
- Call participants generally must not be in the same room or location where FCC rules prohibit using VRS as a substitute for in-person interpreting.
- VRS is not a substitute for court-certified, medical, educational, employment, or other specialized interpreting when such services are legally required or contextually necessary.
- You must keep your Registered Location current for 911 routing and comply with Annex 1.
B. Internet Protocol Captioned Telephone Service (IP CTS)
IP CTS, if offered or supported by SignWow, allows eligible users with hearing loss or other qualifying conditions to place or receive telephone calls with captions of what the other party says. Captions may be produced by a live communications assistant, automated speech recognition, or another method permitted by law.
- You may use captions funded through the TRS Fund only if you are an eligible registered user under FCC rules.
- You must not allow ineligible persons to use captions through your account.
- Where required, you must notify call participants that captions are being used.
- You may not use IP CTS as an unlawful recording, documentation, transcript, CART, court-reporting, or surveillance tool.
C. Internet Protocol Relay Service (IP Relay)
IP Relay, if offered or supported by SignWow, allows eligible users to communicate through text or other supported interfaces with a communications assistant who relays conversations with voice telephone users. IP Relay may include ten-digit numbering, default-provider selection, porting, emergency calling, and registered-location requirements.
- You must satisfy applicable eligibility requirements and use IP Relay only for lawful communications permitted by FCC rules.
- You may be able to port a number to or from another Internet-based TRS provider, subject to applicable rules.
- You must maintain accurate account and Registered Location information.
- Emergency calling through IP Relay has limitations described in Annex 1.
D. ASL Go
ASL Go is an ASL immersion, practice, and community service. It is not VRS, IP CTS, IP Relay, professional interpreting, emergency services, medical advice, legal advice, mental health care, financial advice, or any other regulated professional service. Sessions may be recorded and processed as described in Section 7, the Privacy Policy, and in-session notices.
E. Professional & Advocacy Services
P&A Services provide advocacy, navigation, and informational support. P&A Services do not create professional-client relationships and are not substitutes for licensed legal, medical, mental health, financial, social work, emergency, or other regulated professional services.
SMS/MMS Policy
1. Purpose and Scope
This SMS/MMS/Text Messaging Policy (the "SMS Policy") governs text messages sent or received by SignWow, LLC ("SignWow," "we," "us," or "our") in connection with SignWow websites, applications, support channels, products, services, ASL Go, accessibility services, relay-related services, events, recruiting, marketing, customer support, and company updates (collectively, the "Services").
This SMS Policy applies to Short Message Service (SMS), Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS), RCS where supported, and similar mobile messaging programs (collectively, "Text Messages" or the "SMS Service"). It is incorporated into and supplements SignWow Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
2. Consent to Receive Text Messages
By providing your mobile number and affirmatively opting in to a SignWow SMS program, you authorize SignWow and its service providers to send Text Messages to that number. Consent may be provided through a web form, account registration, event form, service request, application, keyword text, written agreement, checkbox, pop-up consent prompt, or another affirmative opt-in method approved by SignWow.
For certain Services, including ASL Go, SignWow may ask you to opt in to receive SMS/MMS notifications. These may include ASL Go session-request alerts, session confirmations, reminders, cancellations or rescheduling notices, availability prompts, account notices, product or application updates, ASL Go marketing messages, ASL Go updates, and ASL Go recruiting messages. We will provide opportunities to opt out of these notifications, such as replying STOP to a text message or using any other opt-out method we make available. Message and data rates may apply, and by opting in you accept responsibility for any carrier charges or fees associated with receiving or sending Text Messages.
If you are an ASL Go Guide, instructor, P&A advocate, independent contractor, interpreter or similar service provider and you provide a mobile number during registration or onboarding, SignWow may ask you to separately agree to receive SMS/MMS notifications about Learner session requests and related operational updates. Participation in these notifications is optional unless a specific role, Service, or operational workflow states that SMS is required for timely session matching. If you do not opt in or later opt out, SignWow may use other available communication methods, but this may limit or delay your ability to receive time-sensitive session opportunities.
Your consent to receive marketing Text Messages is not required as a condition of purchasing goods or services, registering for services, or using SignWow Services. Transactional or service-related messages may be necessary to provide certain Services, verify your account, respond to support requests, maintain service security, or provide operational notices.
By opting in to any SMS program, you acknowledge that message and data rates may apply and that you are responsible for any charges imposed by your mobile carrier. If the phone number you provide is reassigned, changed, or no longer belongs to you, you must notify SignWow immediately and stop using that number for the SMS Service.
3. Types of Messages
Depending on your relationship with SignWow and your communication preferences, Text Messages may include:
- Service updates, account notices, registration reminders, verification codes, appointment or event reminders, customer-support responses, product or application updates, and service-status alerts.
- ASL Go marketing messages, ASL Go updates, ASL Go recruiting messages, ASL Go surveys, ASL Go newsletters, or ASL Go promotional or informational messages when you have provided appropriate consent.
- Security, fraud-prevention, privacy, legal, compliance, or administrative notices.
- ASL Go recruiting, ASL Go onboarding, ASL Go training, or ASL Go business-relationship communications when you have provided appropriate consent.
- ASL Go Guide notifications, including Learner session requests, availability requests, session confirmations, reminders, cancellations, rescheduling notices, waitlist or queue updates, payment or account notices, training/onboarding updates, and customer-support follow-up when you have provided appropriate consent.
SignWow will not knowingly use SMS to transmit relay-call content, confidential interpreter communications, protected health information, or sensitive information unless authorized and operationally appropriate. Do not send emergency requests, 911 requests, passwords, financial account numbers, or highly sensitive information by SMS.
4. Message Frequency, Costs, and Carrier Disclaimer
Message frequency varies by program, user preferences, role, availability, and your interaction with SignWow. You may receive recurring messages for some programs and one-time or occasional messages for others. For ASL Go Guides/Navigators, message frequency may increase when you are marked available, when Learners request sessions, when sessions are confirmed or changed, or when time-sensitive operational notices are needed.
Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier may charge you for Text Messages, data usage, roaming, or other services. By opting in, you accept responsibility for any charges imposed by your mobile carrier. Check your wireless plan for details.
Delivery of Text Messages is not guaranteed and may be delayed, filtered, blocked, or unavailable due to carrier issues, device settings, network conditions, third-party messaging platforms, roaming, outages, or other circumstances beyond SignWow control. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
5. Opt-Out and HELP Instructions
You may opt out of a SignWow SMS program at any time. Reply STOP to a SignWow Text Message to unsubscribe from that SMS program, or use any other reasonable method SignWow provides for withdrawing consent. SignWow will honor opt-out requests as required by applicable law and carrier rules. After you opt out, SignWow may send one final confirmation message confirming your opt-out request, unless prohibited by law.
After you opt out, you may still receive non-SMS communications or legally permitted administrative messages through other channels. Opting out of one SMS program may not opt you out of every SignWow SMS program if you separately consented to multiple programs. For example, opting out of marketing messages may not automatically stop transactional or operational messages that are legally permitted, and opting out of ASL Go Guide/Navigator session-request notifications may affect your ability to receive time-sensitive session opportunities by text.
For help, reply HELP to a SignWow Text Message or contact SignWow at legal@signwow.com or any other customer-support contact method SignWow makes available.
6. Information We Collect Through SMS
When you use the SMS Service, SignWow and its messaging providers may collect and process information such as your mobile phone number, opt-in and opt-out status, consent records, message content, timestamps, delivery status, carrier information, device information, customer-support information, ASL Go availability or session-request metadata, and any comments or feedback you submit by text.
SignWow uses this information to provide the SMS Service, document consent, respond to requests, personalize communications, administer Services, troubleshoot issues, protect security, prevent fraud or abuse, satisfy legal or regulatory obligations, and improve SignWow products and services.
SignWow handles personal information as described in its Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy controls if it provides additional protections or rights.
7. Disclosure of SMS Information
SignWow does not sell your SMS opt-in consent or SMS phone number for third-party marketing. SignWow may disclose SMS-related information:
- To vendors, carriers, messaging platforms, analytics providers, customer-support providers, and other service providers that process information on SignWow behalf.
- To affiliates, subsidiaries, contractors, professional advisors, or business partners when necessary to operate the Services or manage SignWow business.
- To comply with law, subpoenas, court orders, legal process, FCC/TCPA obligations, carrier requirements, industry standards, or government requests.
- To investigate, prevent, or address fraud, abuse, security incidents, suspected unlawful activity, violations of SignWow policies, or threats to safety.
- In connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, restructuring, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar business transaction, subject to appropriate protections.
8. Prohibited SMS Use
You may not use SignWow SMS channels to send unlawful, abusive, harassing, fraudulent, threatening, obscene, defamatory, discriminatory, harmful, or misleading content; impersonate another person; interfere with SignWow systems; attempt to obtain unauthorized access; transmit malware; or violate any applicable law, carrier requirement, or SignWow policy.
SignWow may block, filter, restrict, preserve, or disclose messages where necessary to protect the SMS Service, comply with legal obligations, enforce this SMS Policy, investigate misuse, or protect the safety and rights of SignWow, users, and others.
9. Emergency and Accessibility Notice
Do not use SMS to request emergency assistance, place a 911 call, request a relay emergency call, or communicate time-sensitive safety information. SMS may be delayed, unavailable, or routed to personnel who cannot provide emergency response. In an emergency, call or text 911 directly where available, use an available relay-service emergency calling method, or use the most reliable emergency communication method available to you.
SignWow aims to make customer communications accessible. If SMS is not accessible or practical for you, contact SignWow at [Insert accessible contact options] to request an alternative communication method, such as email, videophone, ASL support, captions, or another available accommodation.
10. Children and Authorized Users
The SMS Service is not intended for children under 13. Users under 18 should use the SMS Service only with permission of a parent or legal guardian, unless a different age threshold is required by law or the specific Service. By using the SMS Service, you represent that you are old enough to consent or have required permission.
11. Record Retention and Compliance
SignWow may retain SMS records, consent records, opt-out records, delivery logs, and related information for as long as necessary to provide the SMS Service, maintain proof of consent, comply with legal, regulatory, carrier, FCC, TCPA, CTIA, or contractual requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce SignWow agreements.
SignWow may periodically review SMS content and records for compliance, quality assurance, security, fraud prevention, service improvement, and legal obligations. SignWow will use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information.
12. Changes and Contact
SignWow may update this SMS Policy at any time. Updates are effective when posted or as otherwise stated. Your continued use of the SMS Service after an update means you accept the updated SMS Policy.
